A scrub seal is very similar to a traditional chip seal where asphalt emulsion and rock are placed on a pavement surface. The only difference is that the asphalt emulsion is applied to the road surface through a series of brooms pulled by the distributor placed at different angles. This allows for a ONE PASS crack filling method to be used.
